ZenStrings is Condtion30’s music engine. Based on the
company’s proprietary technology, ZenStrings composes complex musical in
real time based on user inputs.
Because the ZenStrings engine generates music, rather than playing back pre-composed music loops, users can easily change their songs by simply altering one or more inputs.
In a traditional approach to music composition, a composer pre-specifies all aspects of the piece such as rhythm, melody, and dynamics. ZenStrings automates music creation so that users only have to input simple instructions to start the musical composition.
ZenStrings music is generated in real time, dispensing with pre-composed MIDI or audio files that tax memory resources.
ZenStrings easily creates various compositions, each unique to its specific inputs.
ZenStrings’ algorithms generate a variety of dynamic behaviors, including true complexity. Modifications are simply parameter changes – each requires only a few keystrokes or icon selections.
Due to the nature of the ZenStrings algorithms, human beings can intuitively identify that the music being generated is neither entirely random nor overly predictable, unless the composer selects such constraints.
The ZenStrings engine generates musical output which is completely deterministic, unlike other more random music generation systems. These other systems typically derive their initial input using a random seed value. For any given set of parameters, ZenStrings-generated music plays exactly the same way every time.
